Equipment to include:

  • Plant designed to convert 10,000 tonnes per annum of household waste into 22GWh of grid quality bio-substitute natural gas (BioSNG).
  • Comprising a number of mature technologies such as a waste handling system, gasifier, plasma arc furnace, waste heat boiler, gas cleaning equipment, compressor, catalytic methanation, carbon dioxide scrubbers, carbon dioxide liquefaction and network entry unit.
  • Ancillary machinery includes diesel generators, MCC’s, control system, transformers, bunded HDPE tanks, pumps, air blast coolers, etc
  • Virtually all equipment installed on site and significant progress on mechanical and electrical integration.
  • Methane to be injected into national grid and will qualify for valuable development renewable transport fuel certificates with carbon dioxide to be liquefied and sold for industrial use.
  • Investment in facility c.£29M to date
